There are two parts to this - the first part fixes add of a directory from a cvsnt client, the second part (the messy hack) is to get a checkin of a new file working with it has keyword expansion - for some reason the file is 'open' and so wont open for write when Checkin() in Checkin.cpp calls rcs.Checkout() to update the local copy. after much hunting I couldnt find what function has the file open so I've just renamed the 'open' file out of the way.
