Causing me to look up rust on the wikipedia.  Yes, it looks useful. 
There's one thing not clear to me from the writeup -- is it possible to 
have structures that are *not* pointed to?

And yes, it looks like rust might be tthe right language, too.

How well does it interface with C++?
