We've had a lot of problems (probably different from y9ours though) from reparenting streams, and we allow changing streams just to particular users (we can call them "admins", although it's more complicated than that). The easiest place to do this, IMHO, is a stream-in trigger. -- Michael Mirman MathWorks, Inc. 3 Apple Hill Drive, Natick, MA 01760 508-647-7555 > -----Original Message----- > From: perforce-user [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf > Of zsmolnar > Sent: Tuesday, September 26, 2017 7:00 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [p4] Reparenting streams with drag and drop in the stream graph > > Posted on behalf of forum user 'zsmolnar'. > > We keep running into the problem of someone accidentally reparenting a > stream in > P4V stream graph. > Some users can accidentally move their mouse a few pixels away while trying to > drag the Computer icon to another stream to switch their workspace to that > stream, and instead they drag the whole stream icon which results in > reparenting > that stream.
