Posted on behalf of forum user 'Sambwise'. First, +1 for this: Quote > Then rebuild your database from the last checkpoint, subsequent journals, and the current live journal if you can get at it, plus all the library/archives in your current server's P4ROOT. Second, probably good to root-cause the original incident: Quote > Disk I/O was at 100% for the longest time on Windows. After a computer restart, nobody can connect to Perforce. Is there anything special about that disk? (Is it a network filer, for example?) Did you force a restart while the disk was thrashing? If so that's probably what trashed the db. Any idea what the server was doing during that period? Do you have maxresults/maxscanrows limits set that are sane relative to your repository size and hardware specs? -- Please click here to see the post in its original format: http://forums.perforce.com/index.php?/topic/5500-urgent-p4d-is-completely-unresponsive _______________________________________________ perforce-user mailing list - [email protected] http://maillist.perforce.com/mailman/listinfo/perforce-user
