I can definitely see the benefits like you said, I'm re-inventing the wheel
with this approach. It is really because I'm still not comfortable with DVCS
and it was a way I could work with it by just using it
locally.  Totally not recommending it for any day-to-day solution to
anyone, just interesting to me.  Once I feel more comfortable with
setting up remotes and see how that goes, I'm certain this will be a long
forgotten learning moment.
