Posted on behalf of forum user 'Stainless'. Had a lot of problems getting p4v to restart. One thread was locked and still running. I hard closed it with task manager, then restarted. It wouldn't connect. Tracked it down to the VPN client the studio uses, it can fail silently. Stopped all the threads for the vpn and restarted it, then restarted P4V. Looks good now. What probably happened was the VPN died during the update and a P4V task didn't close down properly on restart so the code knew it had a task still running and was correct in showing the progress bar.
