Posted on behalf of forum user 'Sambwise'. Exactly which files do you have? - db.* (database) files? - *,v and *.gz (archive) files? - checkpoint.* files? - the journal file? The two vital components of a Perforce server are the database files and the archive files. If you don't have both of those two, your history is not accessible (the database is the index/structure and the archive files are the content).
