The author of this tool either doesn't have a password set on their Perforce
account or they're running this from a prompt where they've previously
logged in.  Since they didn't even think about the issue of
authentication when they wrote their script, I'm guessing the
former.  The script looks to me like a very quick hack that wasn't
really designed for wide use.

Randall's suggesting of running "p4 login" under the same username
is what I'd do, but note that by default your ticket will expire; usually I
recommend having a dedicated "app" user with unlimited timeouts and
restricted permissions for stuff like this.

A better way to write a bot like this would be to use something like the Swarm
API, with a Swarm instance that allows unauthenticated read-only access -- then
the authentication is handled in one place by Swarm.
