Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wraps up a historic trip to Iraq Monday, seeking tighter bonds between the two countries. Ahmadinejad's two-day visit is the first by an Iranian president since former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein launched an eight-year war on Iran in 1980.
Israeli forces killed at least 50 Palestinians on Saturday in air and ground assaults in the Gaza Strip. Doctors in Gaza report that nearly half of those killed were civilians, several of them children. Two Israeli soldiers also died.
