co error

Hi, We have a developer whose user Id is like this 12004480. When this user tries to execute any RCS commands it is failing. For example when he tries to execute co command, he is getting the following error: tades4!12004480:~/bb/braterenv/v47_4/envelop/src [32]> ccget -l TTExtractMain.cpp /p/bsi/ccbsi/bb/braterenv/RCS/envelop/src/TTExtractMain.cpp,v --> TTExtractMain.cpp co error: identifier `12004480' doesn't start with letter co aborted warning: Problems with /usr/local/ccmngr/ccgnrl/v07/bin/HP-UX/ccout for "/p/bsi/ccbsi/bb/braterenv/RCS/envelop/src/TTExtractMain.cpp,v" warning: Failed to checkout 'TTExtractMain.cpp' warning: Failed to perform &cc_get/n error: Failed to perform ccget_files phase. Quitting error: Failed to perform ccget. Quitting "12004480" is the unix user id. Please tell us why he is getting this error. Is it necessary to have user id which starts with letters? Doesn't RCS support this kind of user id patterns?
