Hi, folks --
Create a file foo.txt with only this line (might be wrapped here):
$Date::Manip::NoTaint = eval { local $^W=0; eval("#" . substr($^X, 0, 0)); 1 };
then:
$ ci foo.txt
$ co foo.txt
$ cat foo.txt
$Date: 2007/12/13 23:34:21 $^W=0; eval("#" . substr($^X, 0, 0)); 1 };
where the date string corresponds to the time of the invocation of ci.
This behavior is independent of the location of the line in the file.
The original string can be found at line 37 of DateManip.pm v5.44.
Cheers -d
