InstallShield has integrated Source Control similar to Visual Studio and
I am sure it is using the same hooks into the IDE client DLL. I can add
a InstallShield project successfully through the InstallShield
development environment but I lose the ability to add references to
Visual Studio project output if I don't do it through Visual Studio. I
have resigned myself to doing it outside of Visual Studio and including
paths to project output manually. This also has the disadvantage of
using paths that are relative to my development machine. Another user
working on the same Install project would have to modify the paths if
his environment is different. I would really like to be able to do this
through the Visual Studio environment but I keep getting that pesky
"Unspecified Error".

I have a copy of VSS lying around at work so I will have to try it on
Monday.
