I think I may have misunderstood an email you posted about a year ago. At that time it sounded like Vault didn't scale too well and importing 4Gb VSS database was not recommended. Is this no longer the case (if it ever was!). I guess I'm going to have to try and see what happens. If I'm not correctly understanding your question, you may want to be more specific. We already have a number of customers who have imported databases of larger than 4GB. It remains the case that the important variable when talking about Vault scalability is how many files are in the repository. We have customers with around 100,000 files. Internally, we test Vault with a repository that contains 500,000 files. Vault 2.0 offers faster performance and more scalability than any release we've done so far. Regarding your offer of a copy of your VSS database: We do periodically obtain VSS databases from customers (under NDA) for the purpose of resolving specific problems.
