Had it happen as well when running under dual monitors with VS.NET
displayed in my "#2" Monitor, same goes for Alerts when an item is in a
project but not under source control.

At least once, when I've used the "Open From Source Control" command,
the
"Choose Repository" dialog has not come to the front, or in any way
signaled
its presence. This made me wonder why VS.Net beeped when I clicked it...
