I thought this might be of interest to the list. Korby Parnell (of the Visual SourceSafe team, but don't hold that against him) linked to an article by Fritz Onion explaining how to use Web Project items in a Class Library project in Visual Studio. This can free you from the symbiotic link between the VS project and your target server.
