Most people do not seem to mind the .NET Framework requirement. If our product were targeted at normal people, this would be a huge problem, but a higher percentage of developers actually do have the framework. We implement the SCC API, but we only test with Visual Studio. Some people have gotten it to work with other IDEs, but not very many.
