Had you ever created any profiles? Try logging in via the GUI client, and see if you get the same result. If you can successfully create profiles via the GUI client, they will be available from the IDE as well. To answer your underlying question: To automatically connect to from the IDE, create a profile, have it automatically connect to a repository, then choose that profile to automatically connect. In my 1.1x version, I used to have it automatically log on, when I opened a project in VS.NET, under source control. Now, I get a dialog called "Connect To Server", which is fine. However, I want it to automatically log me on, but the checkbox is grayed out. The "Select Profile" combo box is also empty. When I click "Edit Profiles", I get the following exception: Any comments?
