First Look: support.sourcegear.com

Greetings,

One of our new year's resolutions here at SourceGear
is to streamline the things we do to help our
customers.  This is a work in progress, but we're
ready to start showing people the direction we are
going:

This is a web-based forum site.  Over the years, we
have received many requests for us to implement this
sort of thing.  Those who like web-based forums are
likely to see this as a positive change.  For everyone
else:  Please know that we do understand that
some people would prefer to keep the status quo.
We've ignored the pleas of the web-forum crowd for
a very long time because we didn't want to tick off
50% of our customers just to appease the other 50%.
That's still a result we hope to avoid.  :-)

Nonetheless, I am probably the most die-hard advocate
of what I call "good-old-fashioned mailing lists",
and even I have come to appreciate some of the
benefits of a good web-based forum.  So, we are
cautiously taking the step of deploying this new
site.

Our goal is to eventually move away from mailing 
lists in favor of this forum site.  But for now, 
vault-list will continue to coexist with this site 
until we are confident we can make a painless 
transition.

In any case, support.sourcegear.com is open and
ready for business.  Enjoy!
