You can work around it, to a certain extent. http://www.codeguru.com/mfc/comments/48391.shtml describes the problem, the files responsible for the problem, and what you can do to fix it with a qualified "sort of" attached. He expounds on it at http://www.codeguru.com/mfc/comments/50911.shtml. The problem seems to revolve around the fact that if you backup the settings when you restore them the same plugins need to be installed - question is, does installing an upgrade qualify as the same addin? Or does it check by GUIID? I haven't had a chance to play with this yet but thought someone on the list might get that chance. Let us know if you have any success. :) Brian Schkerke Lead Developer NETCO, Inc. http://www.netcotitle.com (636) 925 8657 > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Eric Sink > Sent: Monday, January 05, 2004 8:43 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [vault-list] Client upgrade issue > > > This is a known problem, and one that we apparently cannot > fix.
