Hey, I think I located a bug in cvs2svn. The migration progress shows the errormessage „ERROR: 'XXXXX.file,v'' is not a valid ,v file.“. I checked out a corruption of my cvs – files, even with earlier revisions, but wasn't able to locate a defect. I tried the same migration 3 month ago and at that time everything worked fine. So I made a further investigation about the changes within that period and indeed: There was a maintenance upgrade from openSUSE 10.2 to openSUSE 11.3 on the server which even did an upgraded the used cvs-package. A detailed evaluation of the files, shown as invalid by cvs2svn resulted that only files changed since the upgrade have the problem. So my next step was to check out if there is a possibility that the new cvs version is using a newer fileformat which isn't recognized by cvs2svn. I started the following experiment: I created a new modul within the repository and added one simple new excel file into it. The result, was that the newly created file even get the same error message. I added the repository which shows the problem to the attachment and my autoprops file which I used as calling parameter, too. Used Version cvs2svn : 2.3.0 Plattform: openSUSE 11.3, 32 bit Command Line: “cvs2svn --svnrepos /srv/svn/repos1 /home/cvsroot –fallback-encoding=LATIN1 –auto-props=autoprops.pro” CVS-Version: 1.12.12-160.1-i586 If you need any further information, please let me know.
