how to suppress creation of trunk/tags/branches directories on checkout?

Hi all,

I exported a cvs to svn (-s) and then tried checking it out.  the 
checked out version created a trunk,tags,branches directory.  what do i 
need to do to just get it to generate the contents of the trunk when i 
check it out and allow me to use other options to check out a specific 
branch if needed?  When i've manually created svn repositories, i only 
see the trunk files when i do a checkout.  Or is that just a fact of how 
cvs2svn creates the repositories?  If so, are there other tools that I 
can use to get the behavior i'm interested in?
