Thanks for your reply. Using the trunk version was not even necessary. I started a conversion during the weekend (a real one, without the --dry-run option) - and it worked. It did not crash in pass 16. Strange.

The resulting Git repository looks good so far.

Anyway, I will redo the conversion using the trunk version of cvs2svn, just so see any differences.

Try the trunk version of cvs2git.  It is much improved relative to 2.3.
