RE: cvs2svn: coredump

I did unpack a tarball of cvs2svn. Running ./run-tests.py still gives an error.
Sorry I do not understand which file/direcory is missing. Any idea?

This is not the run-tests.py script that I meant.  There is another
script with the same name at the top level of the cvs2svn source
distribution.  It may be that the script wasn't installed on your
system; if so, simply unpack a tarball of cvs2svn or check cvs2svn out
of its Subversion repository and run it from the resulting directory.

But most of the tests will fail if your database module is not installed
correctly.

The --use-rcs option only works if RCS is installed your system.  The
"co" command is part of RCS.

This is quite system-dependent.  The database modules are usually
distributed as part of Python, but they require external libraries as
well.  You might be able to find some helpful information relevant to
your OS in the mailing list archives.

The code that helps Python's anydbm module choose which of the available
databases to use is at the top of cvs2svn_lib/database.py.  Bottom line:
install bsddb3 or bsddb or gdbm correctly and things should work.  If
you want to choose a default dbm different than anydbm's default, then
modify the code in cvs2svn_lib/database.py.

Or use the --use-cvs option, in which case no dbm module is needed.
