RE: CVS2SVN Tool Issue with Sort.

Hi All,

I have following setup:

1. Windows 2003.
2. cvs2svn-2.3.0
3. Python 2.5
4. UnxUtils

Installed all above in the Server where CVS repository is hosted and tried running below command from: Start → cmd → cd C:\cvs2svn-2.3.0

cvs2svn --dumpfile=PROJECT.dump D:\cvs\TEST which has a ReleaseNotes.txt,v (having a history of 93 versions)

But I am facing this issue while executing the commands:

ERROR: Command failed with return code 1: "sort -T cvs2svn-tmp cvs2svn-tmp\revs-summary.txt"

After downloading, UnxUtils the instructions says that; run the conversion scripts go to the wbin dirctory of the GNU utils (e.g C:\unix-utils\usr\local\wbin) and type ‘python C:\cvs2svn-2.3.0\cvs2svn -s c:\svn-repo\repo --existing-svnrepos c:\data\cvs_repo\repo\TestApp’
But now I am getting the error:

ERROR: error executing svnadmin: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified svnadmin could not be executed.  Please ensure that it is installed and/or use the --svnadmin option. ”’ 
and I noticed that there is no python.exe in the package which I downloaded.

Please help..!!
