This should *ALL WORK* so please make it more clear by submitting a reproducible test case [1,2,3], as I've requested before. If I can reproduce your problem I can probably fix it. If I can't, then I'm not interested in playing more guessing games. You should also try importing into an empty Git repository, because it's easy enough to merge two repositories in the Git world *after* the conversion.
