Since this problem involves a segmentation fault, a backtrace of this crash obtained from a debugger would be very important information for anyone trying to help.

Unless you are certain that all binaries involved (including the JDK and any relevant system libraries) have all been built with the same compiler, it is possible that this is a local issue in your system or distribution.
