hook script to disable icon handler

Hello,


In order to run tortoise with our solidworks we need to disable the solidwo=
rk icon handler with ShellExView
But then the icons don't update

Is there a way to write a hook script in tortoise such that it will?
1. disable the icon handler
2. commit or update
3. re enable the icon handler
