I have picked up from Frederics last patch and modified it slightly and comitted
it with revision 7861 (after I worked a bit on it on branche "issue-632"). 

The "quick" select or deselect of checked files doesnt work for me. So this
needs to be fixed. And of course, stuff has to be checked on wxMSW and wxMac as
well.
