d:\john\projects\email\SVN 
... I use a URL starting:
file:///d:/john/projects/email/SVN
... an example straight off my system being:
file:///d:/john/projects/email/SVN/ELM/trunk

Please can you tell me how to specify a local repository on Windows drive?

I've tried:

file://d:/svn/scripts
file:///d:/svn/scripts
file://d/svn/scripts
file://d:/svn

I created the repository using:

svnadmin create d:\svn\scripts
