Can't get RapidSVN to work - might be the server

Hi there,

I installed RapidSVN to work with a project over the internet.

It might be that the project's server svnserve process is not installed
or configured properly as the people I work with only use svn locally
(unix/linux with apache tomcat).

I understand I must use the url
'svn+ssh://[email protected]/svn/path/to/repository' in RapidSVN.

I studied the svnserve.conf file of the server and see everything is
commented out (i.e. it is the out-of-the-box svnserve.conf).

How can I test the server is properly configured for snv via RapidSVN?
Should the svnserve process be running on the server?

Help would be much appreciated!
