need help in rapid svn usage in Linux server....reply me asap

Hello Sir / Madam,
 
I am new to rapid svn. I need to implement subversion system
in my server. My server is on Debian Linux. 
 
In my server I am having the working copy of the project. 
 
Now I need to make that one in to subversion.
 
I already Installed the rapid svn in my server.
 
But I need to know how to make my working copy as the
subversion system.
 
Doubts in what is the repository, how to create repository,
after creating repository how to make my working copy as a svn copy, and how to
make changes, after changing how to commit without disturbing the live
site..etc.,
