How do you access the repositories. If you access using a svn:, svn+ssh: or http: url it works. If you access the repository via a file: url with the latest (subversion 1.6) compatible RapidSVN the repository will be upgraded to 1.6 and you will not be able to access it with a subversion/rapidsvn client 1.4. Again: this is true only if you connect directly using file: urls.
