yes: $ svn checkout file:///thehostname/Documents file:///documents svn: Unable to open an ra_local session to URL svn: Unable to open repository 'file:///thehostname/Documents' The repository (and access to it) works fine on windows-machines in the same network, accessed via TortoiseSVN. Note: I use Samba-client to access the network.
