Well, I have this kind of a problem pretty often as well, copying and 
moving directories as painful. Right now we only call subversion and let 
it care about this stuff. Well, obviously, it doesnt do much about this 
so we had to prevent around this problem in RapidSVN.

If you are a programmer, you are welcome to help us solve this problem. 
If you are with a company you might like to fund the implementation of 
such a thing.

As you know, RapidSVN is open source which means if something itches 
you, scratch it (solve the problem and submit a patch) or have somebody 
else scratch it...
