This is a limitation of the data model we have now... until the root of a bookmark gets expanded we dont have actual information about the bookmark. This has been filed before. Take a look here: http://rapidsvn.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=577 Since this is something that annoys me as well i have created a patch for this behaviour...
