"The only dumb question is one not asked". I've answered my own question with further study of the subversion manual. To other newcomers who may be confused by my post - don't be. The actual files are updated on the fly, but subversion gives the added benefit of tracking file revisions, which are stored in files & directories either on the subversion server or your local system, wherever your repository is located. When viewed through RapidSVN, it first appeared (to my inexperienced eye) that there were duplicates of the files I checked out. In fact, RapidSVN's view is essentially the same checkout folder, but with the extra information provided by Subversion. To everyone else, apologies for any extra clutter in your inbox. If I've erred in my rough explanation above, please correct as needed. ------------------------------------------------------ http://rapidsvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=671&dsMessageId=2701949 To unsubscribe from this discussion, e-mail: [[email protected]].
