The deprecation has been discussed previously[1]. I'm suggesting to do the
actual script removal after releasing 1.15 - I'm open to discuss this if
anyone would like to propose a different schedule. (Maybe removing already
in 1.15 since the Perl-ism given-when will be removed in the release Perl
5.42, currently estimated May 2025).
