switch function - make for it preview

Hello,
I would recommend to make for function Switch ability to preview changes 
and only after acceptance enforce the actual action.
I am using windows TortiseSVN and faced the situation that it deleted files 
in a path that it was switched to, without canceling the process.
BTW, do you  advice me how to resolve my situation described in 
conversation in user group with similar subject?
