Can't connect to github anymore

hey there

suddenly i can't connect to github anymore (svn update or svn checkout)

i get the following error:

svn checkout https://github.com/roger21/fract.git
svn: E170013: Unable to connect to a repository at URL 
'https://github.com/roger21/fract.git'
svn: E160013: '/roger21/fract.git' path not found

any clue what i could check?

i tried --trust-server-cert (same result)

i use the cli client on linux debian stable

svn --version
svn, version 1.14.2 (r1899510)
    compiled Jan 31 2023, 16:48:28 on x86_64-pc-linux-gnu

   - using serf 1.3.9 (compiled with 1.3.9)
   - handles 'http' scheme
   - handles 'https' scheme

The following authentication credential caches are available:

* Plaintext cache in /home/user/.subversion
* Gnome Keyring
* GPG-Agent
* KWallet (KDE)

(git clone works fine)

i asked on github but no answers
