Hi all

thank your for the replies.
We use MS VSS client as well as SOS.
These two clients coexist. The issue that I am
trying address is when a project is added to a tree using MS VSS
SOS client users cannot see. But atleast if their is an automated
way to refresh the tree (say by setting refresh time) it would very helpful
in SOS client.
In my situation we are willing to spend time for refreshing the tree.

Especially in my case those who use SOS client forget to refresh the tree
and end up compilation error and then they realize they didnot refresh the
tree.
As I mentioned earlier in SOS setting up refresh time in option menu donot
address my issue.
One of the suggestion from Marcus was to address the issue from SOS server .
I am not sure about all the steps needed to set this up from server side.
It would be great if
there are any examples or steps for setting up from server side.

thanks again
shashi

Hi, Shashi,

Thanks for contacting Technical Support.

This is the way SOS is supposed to work. If SOS refreshed the project tree
every minute, you probably wouldn't be able to get any work done, as this
can be a very lengthy operation. The SOS Client maintains a cache file of
the tree. You can manually refresh the project tree periodically to stay
up to date.
