Hi, I'm new to Blender and the group. Maybe I'm trying to run before I learn to walk because I'm familiar with regular CAD. The point I'm trying to get to is to create models of cars based on multi view 2D drawings. See <http://perso.orange.fr/speedtiti/tutoriels.htm> These would then be exported to CAD programs for use. Without studying the basics I tried to jump in and got the following message. "Compiled with Python version 2.4. 'import site' failed; use -v for traceback. Checking for installed Python... No installed Python. Only built-in modules are available. Some scripts may not run. Continuing happily." I confess I don't know what Python or -v are. My first question is does my program appear to be installed to correctly, to a usable point? If the program is correct I need to start at the beginning so can anyone recommend a good tutorial? I would be grateful for any advice or help to get me to where I want to go. Thanks. Stan
