Yup, you select the vertex, or vertices you want involved, hit
spacebar/edit/vertices/hook/add empty hook. The hook will look similar to a empty, but the
vertices you selected to hook will have same loc/size/ rot of the hook in a
animation.For a example, just add a cube, select vertices of one side,add a hook,
like said above.Set animation frame at 1, select hook,click I key,set
loc,scale,rot. Set animation frame to 10,whatever, grab the hook, move it to another
position, click I key,set loc/scale/rot. then click on frame key, to watch the
vertices move.
