A few years ago I used Pinnacle Studio (v8 or 9 I think?) and it had this nice feature, where I would load a large file like say an avi or mpeg and then it would scan 'scenes' in it and show the various takes. I could then drag-and-drop the desired takes/scenes into a new timeline. This could help. See if P.S. can still be found at www.purplus.com One reseller which has a number of sound editing tools to offer is Fasttrak in the UK. www.fasttrak.co.uk - they also resell PD Pro (:-) and have recently merged with Avanquest. Check them too for some choices in audio editors?
