Hi Yavuz Sure you can: hit G > X > (X again to use local axis) > type the distance with the Numpad. You can use up to 4 decimal places. Or, you can bring properties panel (N key on 3D view), calculate new position and type it on the proper box. About units, some use blender units as meters, other as inches, other as centimeters... it has not been standardized. At least not that I know.
