I'm not aware of anything that would currently meet that need.  Your son
would probably best benefit from having a private tutor instead of
attending a class (where the material has to be dumbed down for the lowest
common denominator).  You might contact my friend David Hickson, who I
know has been looking into various methods of performing online training
with Blender and may be able to help you ([email protected]).  I do
Blender training as well (http://consulting.tellim.com), but typically in
a group setting instead of one-on-one.

You may also try looking for a skilled Blender user locally that wouldn't
mind tutoring your son by using the blenderartists.org forums.  If you
can't find a local talented Blender user, someone that is a gifted modeler
in one app will be a gifted modeler in other apps as well, so maybe a 3DS
Max user or a Maya user locally?
