The .B.blend file might also be in C:/Program Files/Blender
Foundation/Blender or something like that.  Check there too.

If you have 2.44, you can open Blender, do File > Load Factory Settings,
and then do Ctrl+U to save the factory defaults as your user defaults.

You might try explaining your problem a little more clearly as well, since
I can barely make sense of what you're saying.
