HEY THANKS SOOOOO MUCH for the >>>FREE<<< advice on my zoom problem.
Thats THANKS to both Muunin and Mrthrawn,,,,,, and NO thanks to 
Patricia, who offered to help, then asked for $50 for an answer to 
my problem.

Im sure she has worked very hard to learn Blender, but when help is 
a commercial endeavour, that should be stated from the beginning.
Again, thanks to both Muunin and Mrthrawn for their unconditional 
assistance.

For anyone who might also have this problem, here's the advice i was 
given, once again :)

1. There are two view-types: Local-View and Global-View. The problem 
might be, that you are here in the wrong view, but i'm not sure.
Seems you need local view.
Select the view with the View-Menu in the lower left corner of your 
3d-Window. I hope this helps you.

2. Did you accidentally switch to perspective view? Try hitting the 5
key on the numberpad.
