Subdivision Surfaces

Hi all.  I'm new to the Group and I haven't used blender for very long. So bare with me.  I use to have an older version about a year ago, I didn't work in it much, But I know have upgraded to the newest version yesterday.  I was wondering where the Subdivision Surfaces went?  I thought they use to be under Meshes in the Edit button, but I can't find it for the life of me. Any help would be great. Thanks
