Hi there Jay and welcome to the group. Some suggestions for you: # When you open Blender, change to front view [NumPad 1], then delete the cube [X], then add your new mesh [SPACE] Add > Mesh > Monkey. By doing this, you should see the Suzanne mesh front on in front view. If not, then you can change this setting in the user preferences window (the one up the top shown with the letter 'i'). Pull the preferences window down, select the Edit Methods button, then select 'Aligned to view'. Please let the group know if you need any further assistance. What has got me totally confused is that when I open Blender, delete the cube, and add Suzanne she is face on but the view menu shows me I am in top view. If I change the view then use the hotkey for the front view, I get the top view. This makes following the tutorials a bit difficult as all that I have watched so far say things like return to front view and show Suzanne face on. Hope what I mean is clear and you can help me. > > Jay >
