  Thanks again. It looks like an interesting site. It's nice to see a manual
in PDF format. It must be a real bear to try to do that kind of work and
keep up with the ongoing changes in Blender! Even Kernon Dillon's screen
shots of the opening screen (in his video Pre-pub sends) aren't up to date
with what I have, e.g. a couple of items have been added on the left side
column list. A bit like Hess's book that shows a Tool Shelf item there that
has gone away. I see the Blender Newbies blog has some new reference
material and video links.

 

  Yes quick answers are nice. Then, sometimes, it's helpful to finally
figure out things for yourself, like I did with the F-curves. 

 

  I just watched the Oscar animation shorts (Comcast On-Demand). I
particularly liked "The Lost Thing" and initially wondered where all the
ideas for his characters came from, and wonder about an imagination that can
think those up, let alone create and animate them, saw they came from a
picture book of that title. Looks like the DVD and book are mainly available
in Australia. It looked like he probably used Flash for the animation. He
did give thanks to the Adobe Creative Suite in the end credits.

Here is one more great site for you. I have noticed some problems with it in
that the latest update of Blender is not exactly as he describes here. Also,
I have written with questions an gotten no response. It is a great site, but
on the blender newbies, you will get feedback, which I think is essential
for us real newbies..
